Faith and Values Media Announces Opening for Administrative Assistant

NEW YORK, NY [OCA Communications] — Faith and Values Media, of which the Orthodox Church in America Department of Communications is a member, recently opened a search for an administrative assistant in its sales and licensing department.

The successful candidate will report to the director of sales and licensing and work closely with the sales and licensing coordinator, the office manager, and other departments’ assistants. He or she will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and administrative activities of the sales and licensing department to ensure the smooth functioning and success of the department.

Specific responsibilities include managing and tracking all client requests; assisting with the facilitation of mailings, follow-ups, and completion of contracts; tracking and assuring follow-up of all incoming mail, including client correspondence (e-mails, etc.), incoming and outgoing mail; data entry; assisting in gathering information about potential clients; organizing and maintaining all office files; preparing and tracking purchase orders and expense reports; making travel arrangements; assisting in scheduling internal and external meetings; maintaining mailing lists, client contacts, and internal office documents; assisting with various markets preparation (logistics, shipping, coordinating materials) throughout the year; and maintaining sales and licensing information tracking books.

Minimum qualifications include a high school degree or equivalent, with some college preferred; at least two years of office experience in a small- to medium-size company and/or not-for-profit organization; strong office skills, including knowledge of basic computer programs (Word, Excel, e-mail, ACT data base); solid command of standard English usage; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to anticipate the department director’s needs; the ability and willingness to learn about and be sensitive to Faith and Values Media’s member faith groups’ beliefs; and the ability to work easily with clients both domestically and internationally.
