IOCC opens search for Development Director

BALTIMORE, MD [IOCC]International Orthodox Christian Charities [IOCC], a humanitarian aid agency of Orthodox Christians that has provided more than $200 million in assistance to 29 countries since 1992, is searching for a director of development to lead its growing fund-raising and communications efforts. The development director is responsible for implementing and overseeing a comprehensive fund development program from IOCC’s Baltimore headquarters.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of major fund-raising experience with a successful track record. Communication and Microsoft Office skills are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to motivate staff and volunteers. The person is expected to manage the budget so that program objectives are met in a fiscally responsible manner.

Experience with capital campaigns and certification as a Fund-raising Executive [CFRE] is preferred. Understanding of international affairs, sensitivity to work in a faith-based environment, and experience in directing a comprehensive development program are desirable. Travel, including occasional international travel, is required.
