New Youth Ministry CD-ROM Now Available from OCA Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries

- The first edition of “The Hub for Orthodox Youth and Young Adult Ministry Resources,” a CD-ROM containing a wealth of valuable and practical resources for youth ministry, was released by the Orthodox Church in America’s Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries during the last week of July 2001.

According to the Rev. Michael Anderson, OCA Youth Director, the Hub “features discussion guides, ‘how-to’ articles, and a multitude of activities and ideas for youth and young adults. Many of the resources published by the OCA in past years will be found on the CD-ROM.”

With full funding for production of the Hub provided by the Fellowship of Orthodox Stewards [FOS], the CD-ROM has been sent free of charge to all OCA parishes.

“The Hub will prove useful in developing consistent, engaging, and fruitful ministry efforts with parish youth and young adults,” says Father Anderson. “With all the resources on the CD one can more deeply involve youth and young adults in the life and ministry of the Church. And we hope that Hub users will offer us feedback, as well as additional resources, for use in expanded future editions.”

For two decades, the OCA Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries issued numerous programs, discussion and retreat guides, and other resources through conventional means, yet many of these resources are no longer in print or available,” Father Anderson continued. “The Hub features many of these resources, as well as a variety of new ones.”
