OCA Charity Appeal 2007
The month of November has been designated Charity Appeal Month in the Orthodox Church in America. OCA parish communities are encouraged to make special fundraising efforts for this Church-wide philanthropic initiative. New to this year’s Appeal is the work of the Metropolitan Council’s recently established Charity Committee, under the Chairmanship of Archpriest John Reeves. The Charity Committee is now responsible for the allocation of all the Church’s charitable funds. All funds collected for the Charity Appeal will be distributed under the direction and supervision of the Charity Committee.
In a letter issued earlier this month, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman, called upon the faithful of the Orthodox Church in America to support this important act of service. Metropolitan Herman’s letter is available in PDF format.
