OCA to Hold Third Pastoral Ministries Conference at St. Tikhon Monastery, June 2-4

With the blessing of His Beatitude, Metropolitan HERMAN and the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops, the OCA Department of Pastoral Life and Ministry will be sponsoring the third Pastoral Ministries Conference at St. Tikhon’s Monastery during Pentecost week, Wednesday, June 2 through Friday, June 4.

The Conference will address the nature of Orthodox Pastoral Life in America in the 21st Century. Presenters will include His Beatitude, Metropolitan HERMAN, His Grace Bishop TIKHON of South Canaan, Protopresbyter Robert S. Kondratick, Archpriest Leonid Kishkovsky, Archpriest Alexander Garklavs, Archpriest Andrew Morbey and Priest Stephen Freeman. Archpriest Vladimir Berzonsky will lead the Meditation at Compline.

Accommodations for the Conference will be available at St. Tikhon’s Seminary and at the nearby Comfort Inn in Hamlin, PA. Rooms at the Seminary are available on a first come first serve basis. Those using the Seminary facilities are encouraged to bring their own bedding, pillow and towel. The Comfort Inn is offering special rates for the duration of the Conference. Conference participants using the Comfort Inn must book their rooms directly with the hotel no later than May 17, 2004.
