Pray for our brothers and sisters in California
As of 9:00 p.m. on October 22, 2007, a fire is raging in San Diego county. Thousands, including the Very Rev. Alexander Federoff and his family and other parishioners of Saint John of Damascus Church, Poway, CA, as well as faithful from other Orthodox communities in the region, have been evacuated.
It is believed at least one family in the parish has experienced the loss of their home.
The fire is currently moving in the area of Saint John of Damascus Church, though the church appears to be untouched so far. Please remember those threatened and affected by the fire in your prayers.
