Second OCA member listed as missing in WTC tragedy
Protopresbyter Robert S. Kondratick, Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America, has received word today, September 26, 2001, that Alan Bondarenko, who worked on the 91st floor of Tower 2 at the World Trade Center, has been numbered among the missing.
Alan is the son of Mary Bondarenko, member of Holy
Transfiguration Cathedral, Brooklyn, where a memorial service is planned for October 20, 2001. Alan is also survived by his wife, Julia Ann, and two children.
May the Lord give rest to his soul and to the souls of all the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks. And may those who are left behind be granted the Lord’s comfort and consolation.
