The Seventh Ecumenical Council was held in Nicea, Asia Minor in 787 under Empress Irene with 367 Bishops present. The Seventh Ecumenical Council focused mainly around the use of icons in the Church and the controversy between the iconoclasts and iconophiles. Topic: Twenty Commandments of TV Watching

Guest: Terry Mattingly

CRTL welcomes back Terry Mattingly as he follows up on a previous program “The liturgy of mass media, parents, young people and TV” highlighting the Twenty Commandments of TV Watching. Terry will elaborate on a program that he established during a focus group study when Christian parents asked him for help in controlling their television sets (and other media appliances). Once he knew they were serious he provided a list of 20 suggestions that he prepared during a recent series of adult-education forums at his former home parish, Holy Cross Antiochian Orthodox Church in Linthicum, MD. Be sure to tune in and find out what are the Twenty Commandments of TV watching. This will surely be an eye-opening program and a test to see if we can all follow.
