St Vladimir Seminary announces Annual High School, College Student Christmas Retreat

The annual Christmas retreat for high school and college students ages 16-22 will be held at Saint Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary here December 26-28, 2002.

The theme of this year’s retreat, “Living a Christian Life in a Secular World,” will be explored in three presentations.

Dr. Peter Bouteneff, Assistant Professor of Dogmatics, will speak on “Living in Tension: ‘In the world, but not of the world.’” The Rev. Timothy Blumentritt, Lecturer in Pastoral Theology, will speak on “Survival in the Secular World,” while “Beyond Survival: Witnessing in the Secular World” will be the topic of a presentation by George Hazlaris, a graduate from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Brookline, MA and a district director for the Office of Youth of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
