Three Saints Church, Ansonia, CT, to honor Fr. Nicholas Timpko
The clergy and faithful of Three Saints Church here will honor the Very Rev. Nicholas and Matushka Anastasia Timpko and their family on the occasion of Father Nicholas’ retirement September 8-9, 2007.
Father Nicholas served as rector of Three Saints Church for 27 years. Prior to his assignment to the Ansonia parish, he served as rector of Archangel Michael Church, Burbank, IL, and Saint Mary Cathedral, Minneapolis, MN.
In addition to his parish ministry, Father Nicholas served as dean of the Minneapolis Deanery and chancellor of the Diocese of New England.
According to the Very Rev. Michael Roshak, rector of Three Saints Church, His Grace, Bishop Nikon of Boston and New England and the Albanian Archdiocese will preside at the celebration of Great Vespers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8.
On Sunday, September 9, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman and Bishop Nikon will concelebrate the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 a.m. A testimonial banquet will follow at Grassy Hill Lodge, Derby, CT at 1:00 p.m.
