April edition of OCA’s young adult “Wonder” blog now available

The April edition of “Wonder,” the blog of the Orthodox Church in America’s Department of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries, is now available.  Published in conjunction with the celebration of Holy Pascha, the edition focuses on “The Day of Resurrection” and includes reflections on the Feast of Feasts.

Father Sean Levine, an OCA Army Chaplain, shares his story of celebrating Pascha as a priest in Afghanistan.  Andrew Boyd, the blog’s managing editor, recounts his trip to Mount Athos for Pascha in 2009 in “Pascha above the Clouds.”  Deacon Jason Ketz, a third-year student at Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, offers a theological reflection on Holy Saturday.  Ms. Andreea Bălan, a youth director and frequent contributor to the blog, shares a reflection of Saint Mary Magdalene’s encounter with Christ in the garden in “The Constant Gardener.”

The theme of the May 2012 edition, “Modern Martyrdom,” will be released in mid-May.  It will focus on stories of martyrs from the modern era and the implications of martyrdom in our world today.  Deadline for submissions is May 10.

As always, readers are invited to submit articles, creative writing, artwork, poetry, photos, and videos for future installments.  Suggested topics are always welcome.  Send all materials and comments to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
