August installment of OCA’s young adult “Wonder Blog” now available

“The Mission of Orthodox Youth in North America” is the theme of the August 2011 installment of the Orthodox Church in America’s young adult blog, “Wonder,” now available at www.ocawonder.com.

This installment consists of “classic” articles from Concern magazine, a magazine for college students published in the late 1960s and early 1970s by the Orthodox Christian Campus Commission.  The articles are prefaced by a short reflection by the managing editor, Mr. Andrew Boyd, on the mission of Orthodoxy in the campus setting.

Articles include “Spiritual Life in the Technological Age” by Archbishop Demetrios of the Greek Archdiocese, “The Mission of Orthodox Youth” by Protopresbyter Alexander Schmemann, and “You, the Church, and the World” by Father Robert Stephanopoulos.  The “Wonder” staff is deeply grateful to the Orthodox Christian Fellowship for granting permission to republish these wonderful, prophetic, and thought-provoking articles.

“Wonder,” an on-line publication of the OCA’s Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry, provides thought-provoking articles geared toward young adults and college students and those who minister to them.

The September issue of “Wonder” will focus on “Icon, Image, and Modern Culture.”  Submissions are always welcome.  The deadline is September 5.

Readers are invited to submit articles, creative writing and artwork, poetry, photos, and videos for future installments.  Suggested topics are always welcome.  Send all materials and comments to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
