Camp, Youth Workers’ Conference planned for January 2014

Youth workers from across North America are invited to the 2014 annual Camp and Youth Workers’ Conference, slated to be held at Antiochian Village here January 23-25, 2014.  Endorsed by the Assembly of Bishops, this year’s conference will address the theme, “Made in His Image and Likeness,” which will be developed by the keynote speaker, Protopresbyter Thomas Hopko.

Andrew Boyd, OCA Youth Director, explains that the conference is for “anyone who is actively involved—or who wants to be—in campus or camping ministry or parish youth work.  Workshops will be available for three tracks: youth worker, camp ministry, and pastoral.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA and the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese will host this year’s conference, which provides an arena for Orthodox youth workers from different jurisdictions to share and provide resources.

A conference flyer is available here. Registration and more information will soon be available on the Orthodox Christian Camp Association website. Participants are able to apply for the Peter the Aleut Grant to help cover the cost of attending.
