Council delegates reminded to read Strategic Plan workshop resources in advance
“The Strategic Planning workshops that will be held at the 16th All-American Council offer an important opportunity for delegates and observers to offer input into the Strategic Plan for the Orthodox Church in America and to begin forming the human networks that will be so important in implementing that plan,” according to Priest John Vitko, chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.
“Everyone’s first choice for a workshop will be honored,” he added. “Those who pre-registered and provided an e-mail address received by e-mail the appropriate resources to read in advance.”
Those who did not select a workshop may do so by sending an e-mail to Mr. Gregory Sulich at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or by checking in at the Council registration desk.
“All participants are urged to print out the read-ahead resources for their particular workshop HERE, to prayerfully read the material, and to reflect upon what they have read prior to the Council opening,” Father John noted. “Workshop leaders will presume that delegates have read the resources in advance.
“At Tuesday afternoon’s workshop, delegates will be asked what are the most critical things that the Church as whole — the Central Administration, diocese, deanery, parish — needs to do to accomplish the stated goal,” Father John said. “At Wednesday afternoon’s workshop, delegates will focus initial steps they and their fellow participants, networked together, can take to accomplish the stated goal, remembering that what is impossible for man is possible with God.”
