Diocesan Diaconal Formation programs accepting applications for 2013-2014 term

Applications are now being accepted for Saint Tikhon’s Seminary’s Diocesan Diaconal Formation Programs in Pennsylvania, New York state and Florida for men contemplating ordination to the diaconate.

The course of instruction consists of two years of classes offered on Saturdays during the academic year. This allows students to take seminary level classes while maintaining their jobs or other responsibilities.  In addition to class participation, students participate in the divine services and liturgical practicum.  The Certificate in Diaconal Formation Program consists of 24 academic credits that may, upon successful matriculation, be transferred towards the completion of a Master of Divinity degree at Saint Tikhon’s Seminary. Certificates in Diaconal Formation are awarded at the seminary’s annual commencement ceremony.
