Holy Synod Begins Fall 2020 Meetings
The Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America, meeting under the presidency of His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, held the first session of its Fall 2020 Meeting on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Due to the continuing global health crisis, the meeting was held by video conference.
The meeting agenda includes a report by Metropolitan Tikhon regarding his primatial duties; an update on the Chancery operations by Archpriest Alexander Rentel, Chancellor; a status report on the pending 20th All-American Council slated for July 2021; a Pension Board report; and discussion of the ongoing global health crisis as it relates to the operation of parishes and institutions of the Orthodox Church in America.
The Fall 2020 Meeting of the Holy Synod will continue in a later session during the Fall season.
