Letters sent to Coptic, Bulgarian Churches
On November 6, 2012, His Eminence, Archbishop Nathaniel, Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan See, sent a letter to His Eminence, Metropolitan Grigory of Veliko Tarnovo of the Patriarchate of Bulgaria expressing sympathy and prayers on the repose of the His Holiness, the newly departed Patriarch Maxim, who fell asleep in the Lord earlier that day. On the same day, a letter of congratulations was sent to Coptic Pope-elect Tawadrous II, who was elected to succeed the late Pope Shenouda III on Sunday, November 4. [See related story.]
