Locum Tenens, Administrator, Officers and External Affairs Director meet
His Eminence, Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and the Romanian Episcopate, Locum Tenens, met via conference call with His Grace, Bishop Michael of New York and New Jersey, Temporary Administrator of the Orthodox Church in America; the Church’s officers; and Archpriest Leonid Kishkovsky, Director of External Affairs and Interchurch Relations, to discuss the transition in the OCA and procedures for Chancery operations.
According to Father Eric, “the varied facets of the administration’s operations and outstanding work and projects were discussed, together with critical issues that need to be addressed in the immediate and near future.”
Plans for upcoming meetings of different parts of the Church, together with various aspects of external affairs that need attention and planning in the coming months, we also discussed. Also reviewed were various aspects of the past week and some critical actions to be done in the coming weeks.
“There was much discussion on a wide variety of issues,” Father Eric added.
