New Video “Recollections of Saintly Matushka Olga” to be Released on June 9th
His Grace Bishop Alexei of Sitka and Alaska has announced the premiere of the short documentary video “Recollections of Saintly Matushka Olga.” This video will be released on June 9th and highlights the deep place Matushka Olga holds in the heart of the Alaskan faithful. It also gives background to the Holy Synod’s decision to keep her relics in her home village of Kwethluk, a decision made for the benefit of the faithful in Kwethluk, throughout North America, and around the world.
Advanced screenings of the video in Anchorage and other dioceses have been met with enthusiasm and gratitude. His Grace invites all the faithful to watch and share this video as the Orthodox Church in America continues toward the glorification of Matushka Olga.
The video will be available on June 9th on the Diocese of Sitka and Alaska YouTube channel.
