November installment of OCA’s young adult “Wonder Blog” now available

“Romance and Dating” is the theme of the November 2011 installment of the Orthodox Church in America’s young adult blog, “Wonder,” now available at ocawonder.com.

Four articles address common problems with romance and dating from a Christian perspective.  “The Poverty of Loneliness” by Monk Silouan looks at married life and monastic life.  “Our Relationship with Christ” encourages us to make sure we are seeking Christ before all things.  “Single Patience” is a tongue-and-cheek look at Orthodox dating by Thomas Eric Rutherford, author of the book, Heaven Help the Single Christian.  The last article, by Andreea Bălan, explains how Christ’s crucifixion is the model for all human love.

“Wonder,” an on-line publication of the OCA’s Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry, provides thought-provoking articles for young adults and college students and those who minister to them.

The December issue of “Wonder” will focus on “Our Consumer Culture.”  Submissions are always welcome.  Deadline for submissions is December 10, 2011.

Readers are invited to submit articles, creative writing, artwork, poetry, photos, and videos for future installments.  Suggested topics are always welcome.  Send all materials and comments to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
