OCA camps gear up for exciting season!

Camps

In the coming weeks, schools will wind down for the academic year, signaling the opening of the Orthodox Church in America’s network of “coast-to-coast” summer camps!

A comprehensive directory of over a dozen summer camping programs, compiled by OCA Youth Director Andrew Boyd, is now available in PDF format.

“Early birds” kicking off the season include Saint Sophia’s Camp for Young Women and Saint Seraphim’s Camp for Young Men, Conyers, GA, which will begin June 9 and 30 respectively; Saint Mary’s Camp, Amery, WI, which begins June 29; the Chicago Deanery Camp, Troy, WI, which opens June 30; and Saint Eugene’s Camp, Dunlap, CA, which opens the same day.  Saint Andrew’s Camp, Jewell, NY offers four special “theme” weeks running July 7 through August 3, while Camp Vatra, Grass Lake, MI, will hold its traditional junior and senior programs in July and August.  Information and dates for several other well-established camps—Saint Tikhon’s, South Canaan, PA; Saint Vladimir’s, Farmdale, OH; All Saints of North America, Vancouver, BC, Canada; the Eastern Orthodox Youth Camp, LaCynge, KS; Saint John’s, Mitchell, IN; and Camp Saint Nicholas, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK, Canada—are also available on the directory, as is the New England Diocesan Youth Rally, Contoocook, NH, which runs August 12-17.
