OCF Board reviews growth in campus ministries
The ongoing development of campus ministry programs, especially in the establishment and revitalization of nearly 40 Orthodox Christian Fellowship [OCF] chapters during the past year, topped the agenda of the agency’s Board of Directors during its annual meeting at Hellenic College-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology here December 4-5, 2014.
Also announced by the Board were the release at the end of December of a new, free smartphone app for students, the growth in the number of “Real Break” trips to a record 11 with an anticipated 110 student participants, and an increase in registrations for OCF’s annual College Conference East and West.
The OCF is an agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA.
His Grace, Bishop Gregory of the Johnstown, PA-based American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, OCF Episcopal Liaison, remarked, “It has been a wonderful opportunity to gather again as the Board of Trustees, along with the OCF staff, in fellowship and love. We have reviewed our progress and planned our future…. Much progress has been made, but of course there is always more work to do.”
Deacon Alexander Cadman, Bellefonte, PA, serves as the Orthodox Church in America’s representative to OCF.
