Ohio site of FOCA’s May 2015 national bowling, basketball tournaments

The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America [FOCA] will hold its annual national bowling tournament May 1-2, 2015.

Sponsored by the Cap City O Club, Chapter 254, of Saint Gregory of Nyssa Church here, the theme of the annual event is “Roll Back to Ohio.”

Bowling will begin Friday evening, May 1, at 7:00 p.m. and resume the following morning at 9:30 a.m.  Saturday evening Vespers will be celebrated at Saint Gregory Church at 6:00 p.m., after which an awards banquet will be held.  Participants are invited to attend the Sunday Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m.

In related news, the Cap City O Club also will sponsor the FOCA’s annual national basketball tournament in the Cleveland area the weekend of May 15-17.  The Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside, 5800 Rockside Road, Independence, OH offers a special rate of $93.00, which includes a cooked-to-order breakfast and complimentary light snacks and beverages each evening.  A variety of activities also is being planned.  Saturday evening Vespers will be celebrated at Archangel Michael Church, Broadview, OH.  The Sunday Divine Liturgy will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by brunch and final games.
