Preconciliar Commission releases Delegate Handbook
The Preconciliar Commission, charged with planning the 17th All-American Council of the Orthodox Church in America, announced on September 9, 2012, that the Council Delegate Handbook is now available on-line here.
The Council will convene on Tuesday, November 13, at Holy Trinity Church, Parma, OH.
“The Handbook contains detailed instructions for delegates, including procedures for the election of a new Metropolitan, Council agenda, the services for the opening and closing of the Council, a welcome letter from His Eminence, Archbishop Nathaniel, Locum Tenens of the Metropolitan See, and other importnat information,” said Archpriest Eric G. Tosi, OCA Secretary. “It meets the requirement detailed in the OCA Statute, Article II, Sec 5a, to publish the agenda, notices and arrangements 60 days prior to the Council.”
Preconciliar Commission members will meet with the Local Committee at the Council site on Monday and Tuesday, September 10-11, to finalize all local arrangements and plans.
In related news, reservations are now being accepted by the Holiday Inn. The DoubleTree Hotel will begin taking reservations on Monday, September 10.
