Registration for the Department of Liturgical Music’s on-line course, “Choral Conducting for Beginners,” closes on Sunday, August 28, 2016 due to an overwhelming initial response.

The course, which begins September 12, was limited to a dozen registered participants.  It will be devoted to demonstrating basic conducting technique, beginning with elementary conducting patterns and concluding with an emphasis on conducting liturgical chant.  The course will consist of 12 sessions, covered over a period of 13 weeks.  Prof. David Drillock, who chairs the Department, will serve as instructor.

Additional registration requests will be deferred to the 2017 series.
