On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, Saint Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary [SVOTS] will host the final webinar of a three-part series featuring recent Doctor of Ministry graduates.

While there is no charge to participate in the webinar, space is limited.  The deadline to register for the May 9 webinar is 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8.

The hour-long webinar will begin at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

The final session will feature Subdeacon Gregory Abdalah, D.Min., Youth Pastor at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church, Phoenix, AZ.  He will offer a presentation titled “The Church of Today: Youth, Liturgy and Community,” according to Subdeacon Alexander (Pradeep) Hatcher, SVOTS Director of Institutional and Advancement Communications.

“Our youth are often referred to as ‘the future of the Church and, while a nice sentiment, this outlook ignores their role and place within the Church’s here and now,” said Subdeacon Gregory.  “We will look at the role community plays within the lives of our youth, contrasting the definition of community offered by the world with that which the Church offers.”

Registrants for Subdeacon Gregory’s presentation will receive a link to join the webinar via email.
