Seminarians, area clergy and faithful to celebrate St. Sergius Day at OCA Chancery September 19
His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon and the staff of the Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America will welcome students from Saint Tikhon’s Seminary, South Canaan, PA and Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Yonkers, NY, at a celebration marking the Feast of Saint Sergius of Radonezh on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
Saint Sergius is the patron of the Chancery Chapel.
The day will open with the celebration of the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy in the walled garden [weather permitting] at 10:00 a.m. His Grace, Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Admistrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, will concelebrate with Metropolitan Tikhon. A combined choir comprised of students from Saint Vladimir’s and Saint Tikhon’s Seminaries will sing the responses. A reception will follow.
