“ZOE for Life!” makes a difference, one life at a time!
In an article titled “Zoe for Life”In an article titled “Zoe for Life”, available in the Orthodox Church in America’s ever-expanding Parish Ministry Resources, author Kathy Kovalak describes the mission and ministry of the Cleveland-based pan-Orthodox pro-life organization, “ZOE for Life!”
“As we mark the 43rd Anniversary of Roe v Wade on Friday, January 22, 2016, we participate in marches around the country in public witness of our Orthodox Christian belief in the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death,” said Donna Karabin, who chairs the OCA’s Department of Christian Service and Humanitarian Aid. “But it is also important to make known the pro-life witness, outreach and ministry of parishes and organizations in helping pregnant women in distress who need confidential, emotional and spiritual support to encourage them to choose life for their unborn children—and this is the mission of ‘ZOE for Life!’”
“ZOE for Life!” pursues three major goals: to help women who need confidential emotional and spiritual support during crisis pregnancies; to assist Orthodox Christians seeking to adopt children; and to provide an education for pure living and other resources. According to ZOE President Paula Kappos, the organization currently is in need of a number of volunteers, including medical personnel, teachers and counselors, administrative and support personnel, and experts in the fields of fundraising, information technology and social media. To volunteer, call 877-436-5433 or send an e-mail from ZOE’s web site.
