Ancient Faith Radio: Special pre-Lenten program
Ancient Faith Radio [AFR] has produced a special one-hour pre-Lenten special broadcast to help listeners prepare for Great Lent, which in 2014 on March 3.
The program is hosted by Father Evan Armatas of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Loveland, CO and host of the “Orthodoxy Live,” AFR’s call-in program. He welcomes co-host John Maddex in discussing the history of Great Lent, the Lenten Triodion, fasting, and the weeks of Great Lent leading up to Holy Week. The program is intended as a primer to help the faithful understand the significance of this important season in the liturgical year.
