Graduating seminarians, families hosted at OCA Chancery
Soon-to-be graduating students from Saint Tikhon’s Seminary, South Canaan, PA, and Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Crestwood, NY, were hosted at the Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America here on Saturday, May 14, 2011.
His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah, welcomed the students after the morning’s celebration of the Divine Liturgy, during which David Wooton, a second-year student at Saint Vladimir’s, was ordained to the diaconate.
Following the Liturgy, Metropolitan Jonah; Archpriest Eric Tosi, OCA Secretary; and Melanie Ringa, OCA Treasurer, addressed the seminarians and offered them words of encouragement as they begin a new phase of their lives.
The cookout that followed was greatly enjoyed and appreciated.
