Local Directions—from the Palisades Parkway
From the Palisades Parkway, take the Bear Mountain traffic circle about 3/4 of the way around, to Rt 9W north.  Pass through the town of Fort Montgomery, go up the hill and turn right onto Rt 218 into Highland Falls.  Bear right at the fork in the road; West Point Museum will be on the right.  Continue to Thayer Gate, and tell the sentry you are going to the Cadet Chapel.  At the stop sign, bear left up the hill, past the football stadium.  Bear left at the soldier’s statue down the hill.  Very soon you will see Derussy Loop on the right.  Take the right turn and park by the church or in the rear.  St Martin’s Chapel meets in the basement of the Cadet’s Chapel.
