Saints Cyril and Methodius parish is located in the City of Jeannette, a large and diverse community in Westmoreland County, about fifty minutes from the City of Pittsburgh. It is neighbor to Youngwood, Monroeville, East Pittsburgh/Forest Hills, Latrobe, and the County seat, Greensburg. Greensburg is a central cultural and economic hub. It hosts arts and cultural festivals, music venues and has a vibrant small city feel. The area is home to three college campuses: Seton Hill, UP Greensburg and Saint Vincent College. Together with our parish, renewal is evident in the City of Jeannette. New businesses are being attracted: retail, antiques and coffee shops, good restaurants and a popular microbrewery. The downtown is currently undergoing infrastructure updates, and parks and community gardens are abundant. Civic celebrations, a Fall Ethnic festival and a Nativity parade and celebration are offered to the residents, providing opportunities for a Church presence and witness in the community.
Whether living in the area now, considering relocating, or visiting the Laurel Highlands, come and experience Orthodoxy with us at S.S. Cyril and Methodius Church.
