Parish Background

St. Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Mission opened its doors in March 2000. In 2012 it moved into its present location.

With a large and rapidly growing community of people from Russia and Eastern Europe settling in the northern part of the Greater Toronto, there was a great need for a local Orthodox presence. St. Seraphim has been happy to offer a spiritual home to many of these people as well as welcoming those of other ethnic and religious backgrounds. After the Liturgy we meet for tea and fellowship. On special occasions, such as Pascha, Patronal feast, or Maslenitsa we organize special events for a larger community.
