Parish Background
Saint Maria of Paris Orthodox Church is a mission of the the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), Diocese of the South. We began as a small group of Orthodox faithful and inquirers in Cleveland, TN in August 2009, under the care of Archpriest Stephen Freeman, Saint Anne Orthodox Church in Oak Ridge, TN, and was granted Mission status in April 2011
We were blessed with the name Saint Maria of Paris by Metropolitan Jonah in April 2010. On February 9, 2014 Deacon Kevin Rigdon was ordained to the priesthood, and was put in charge of the mission. Saint Maria pray to God for us!
