From the South
Take I-75 north to exit 193 (Jacaranda Blvd). Turn left on Jacaranda, go under the bridge, and proceed to the fourth traffic light. Turn right onto Center Rd, and then at the first light, turn left onto Shamrock Blvd. Our church is 4 blocks away from Center Rd on the left hand side.
From the north
Take I-75 south to exit 193 (Jacaranda Blvd). Turn right on Jacaranda and proceed to the third traffic light. Turn right onto Center Rd, and then at the first light, turn left onto Shamrock Blvd. Our church is 4 blocks away from Center Rd on the left hand side.

Church Vision
“Go, ye therefore, and teach ALL nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matt 28:19-20). We welcome all potential converts, inquirers, catechumens. Visitors are welcome; we welcome all nationalities and backgrounds.
The first Holy Liturgy of the Holy Spirit Mission was celebrated on September 8, 1984 by the Very Rev. Lucian T Gafton. Archbishop Dmitri established the parish as a Mission in January 1985.
In August of 1991 the building at 700 Shamrock Blvd was purchased. On September 8, 1991 the planting of the Cross and the blessing and dedication of the new grounds took place. Fr Lucian, assisted by Fr Stephen Plumlee and Fr David Milligan.
The Church was consecrated on Februry 15, 1992 by His Eminence Archbishop Dmitri of Dallas and the South together with visitng Diocesan clergy. On February 13, 1994 Archbishop Dmitri granted parish status to the Holy Spirit Church. A new cupola was erected to the church on November 23, 1994.
On May 19, 1996, the founder of Holy Spirit Orthodox Church, Fr Lucian Gafton, departed this life. On August 1, 1996, Fr Catalin O Mot was officially assigned as Rector of the parish.
Fr. Stephen Lourie became priest in charge on August 1, 2013. As the parish continues to grow you are invited to come and visit us, meet us and learn more about the Holy Orthodox Faith, the Faith of the Apostles.
