You appeared as a splendid growth in the wilderness, Venerable Father, / for from your youth you chose a life of purity, following your spiritual instructor, / and by his admonitions, you turned your mind to heavenly things. / You dwelt in the wilderness and there you founded a monastery, becoming a wise counselor for your flock, / shining as a bright lamp in Great Novgorod with honor and strength. / Therefore, Christ enriched you with miracles and glorified you. / O Xenophon our Father, pray to Christ God for the salvation of our souls.
