Eyeglass Ministry
By Dana and Sue Talley
If you have eyeglasses - in good condition - that you're ready to discard --- DON'T!
Through the services of Medical Group Mission, hundreds of doctors and volunteers receive used eyeglasses from donors throughout the United States and Canada, and with the aid of computers, match them to the prescription of underprivileged people in the Caribbean, Central, and South America who would otherwise have none.
The volunteers see over 100,000 patients a year, performing delicate operations as well as distributing over 80,000 pairs of eyeglasses annually. So they can really use those used glasses.
If you can help by collecting eyeglasses, please box them (just so they won't rattle around) and send them to:
Christian Medical
Society
3315 S.W. Village Green Dr.
Miami, Fla. 33175
(UPS is the cheapest way, if you collect large quantities.)
All the services of the Medical Group Mission are done in the Name and for the sake of Jesus, and His message of salvation does get through to those who need to hear - and see!
Dana and Sue Talley tour the country as professional musicians, often giving concerts of sacred music. When at home in New York City, they are active members of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church.
