Antioch (Acts 11:19-30)

1. The persecutions, such as the killing of St. Stephen, the first martyr.

2. Jews

3. St. Barnabus. St. Paul

4. One year. Met with people and taught them about Jesus.

6. A famine was going to spread over the whole Roman empire. The provided help, each according to his ability to the Church in Judea (Jerusalem).

Greece (Acts 17:16-32)

1. Apostles Silas and Timothy. Teaching and taking care of the Church in Berea.

2. The fact that they were so interested in idols. He try to convince the people that their idols were not God. The synagogue and the marketplace.

3. Listening to and debating new ideas. It gave St. Paul the ability to talk about Jesus’ resurrection.

4. Their religiosity. An idol to an unknown god

5. God made the whole world and therefore doesn’t live in temples built by people. Since God doesn’t need anything He isn’t served by human hands, etc. See verses 24-30.

6. Some people mocked him and some people wanted to hear more about the Gospel.
