Archpriest Constantin Enache fell asleep in the Lord on June 25, 2024. He was 66 years old. Father Constantin was born in Sirna, Rariceni, Prahova County, Romania on May 1, 1958 to Voicu and Sanda Enache.
Constantin Enache married Elena Toma in 1983, and they shared 40 years of marriage. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology in Bucharest in 1996. He was ordained a deacon in March 1997 at Saint Alexe Church in Bucharest and a priest in April 1997 at Sts. Constantine and Helen Church, Drumul Taberii - Bucharest, by Bishop Teodosie (Snagoveanul). Father Constantin was assigned to CFR Hospital in Bucharest, Fundenia Hospital, and Malaxa Parish until he emigrated to the United States in 1999. He also worked in Romania as an electrician for 20 years. He was attached to Saint Nicholas Church in Troy, MI, served as parish priest of Annunciation Church in Grand Rapids, MI, and most recently was attached to Descent of the Holy Spirit Church in Warren, MI. Father Constantin also worked in America as an electrician for ten years and the last five years as a security guard. Father Constantin enjoyed gardening, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Father Constantin is survived by his beloved wife, Elena Enache, daughter Alina Enache, and mother, Sanda Enache. He is also survived by his sisters Mariana (Octavian) Silivestru and Cristina (Daniel) Rosu, nephews Stefan (Marina) Rosu and Iulian (Gabriela) Rosu, and niece Marina (Florin) Stefan. Father Constantin was preceded in death by his father, Voicu Enache.
Visitation took place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road, Clawson, Michigan 48017, on Saturday, June 29, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Sunday, June 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Descent of the Holy Ghost Romanian Orthodox Church, 31500 Ryan Road, Warren, Michigan 48092. Saracusta will be Sunday at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 1, at 10:00 AM at the church. Father Constantin was buried at the St. Mary Cemetery, Vatra Romaneasca, in Grass Lake, MI.
