Irene Soroka, wife of the Very Rev. Igor Soroka, rector of Saint Nicholas Church, Donora, PA, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2004 after a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer.
Born Irene Hrenyo on August 8, 1931, she married in 1955, four years before her husbands ordination to the Holy Priesthood. For 45 years, she faithfully shared in her husband’s ministry at Saint Nicholas Church, where she coordinated the parish Church school program and participated in numerous activities.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons.
