Mrs. Anna Pateyuk, 93, wife of the late V. Rev. Karp Pateyuk, fell asleep in the Lord in a nursing home here on Sunday, December 5, 2004.
Born in what is today Belarus, she and her husband arrived in the US in the late 1940s, at which time they served Holy Trinity Church, Clayton, WI, from 1948 until 1959. They served Saint Mary Cathedral, Minneapolis, from 1959 until Father Pateyuk’s repose in 1976.
Mrs. Pateyuk was active in many parish ministries and was a member of Saint Mary “O” Club and the cathedral’s Women’s Club.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry & Diane Patiuk; three grandchildren, Michael Patiuk, Gina Lambert, and Amy Ward; five great-grandchildren, Anna, Nicholas, Alexandra, Natalie, and Gabriella; one sister, Nadia Zaleski; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Mary Cathedral, 1701 Fifth Street N.E., Minneapolis on Wednesday, December 8, at 10:00 a.m. with interment in Saint Mary Cemetery. Visitation at the cathedral will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, with a Memorial celebrated at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Mary Cathedral.
