Matushka Mildred Kluchko, 71, wife of Archpriest John Kluchko, fell asleep in the Lord at their home here on Monday, January 26, 2015.
Fondly known by many as “Millie,” she was born March 25, 1943, in Olyphant, PA, the daughter of the late George and Julia Nemitz Seymour. She was a member of Holy Resurrection Church, Belle Vernon, PA, which her husband served for many years before entering retirement. She was a member of the parish choir, served as a Sunday school teacher, and belonged to Saint Barbara’s Altar Guild. In addition to her parish ministries, she was a regular volunteer at a local food pantry and a member of the Bridgeville Library Scrabble Club. She also was a retired health and physical education teacher in the Frazier School District.
In addition to her beloved husband of 52 years, Matushka Millie is survived one son, Luke [Oksana] Kluchko, Kyiv, Ukraine; two daughters, Kyra [Egor] Panchenko, Jersey City, NJ, and Melanie [John Nobile], West Caldwell, NJ; seven grandchildren; two brothers, George Seymour of California and William [Jean] Seymour of North Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, PA, with the singing of the Parastas at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated at Holy Resurrection Church, Mary Street, Belle Vernon, on Friday, January 30, at noon. Interment will take place in Saint Tikhon’s Monastery Cemetery, South Canaan, PA.
