Matushka Nadezhda [née Apouchtine] Svetlovsky, 97, wife of the late Protodeacon Peter Svetlovsky, fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2018.
For many years the Svetlovskys, who came to the United States in the early 1950s, served Our Lady of Kazan Church, Sea Cliff, NY. After Protodeacon Peter’s retirement they relocated to Ottawa, where they attended Annunciation Cathedral.
Matushka Nadezhda is survived by three sons, Priest Nicolas [the late Matushka Anne], Vladimir [Paula] and Gregory [Natalie] Svetlovsky; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to Protodeacon Peter, she was predeceased by three brothers Alexander, Dimitri and Serge.
A Panikhida will be celebrated at Annunciation Cathedral, Ottawa, ON at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2. Funeral services will be celebrated at the cathedral at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.
