Archpriest Venseslav and Popadia Marina Dimitroff celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Saint George Cathedral (Bulgarian Diocese), Rossford, OH on Sunday, November 6, 2005. They were married on November 6, 1955 at Saint Stefan Church, the famous Iron Church”, in Istanbul. Father Venseslav served as pastor of Saint John Church in Istanbul from 1961 until 1975 and then, on the invitation of Archbishop Kyrill, he came to serve as pastor of Saint George Cathedral in Toledo where he served until his retirement in 1995.
Special prayers were offered for Fr. Venseslav and Popadia Marina at the Divine Liturgy. The Saint Anna Ladies’ Guild held a luncheon in their honor following the Divine Liturgy.
