His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah, celebrated the Feast of Holy Pentecost at St Nicholas Cathedral, Washington D.C. During the liturgy his Beatitude presented Fr Valery Shemchuk with the Priests Gold Cross in recognition for his service to the faithful of St. Nicholas Cathedral. Also, His Beatitude blessed Reader Seraphim Irons to wear the subdeacon’s orarion and ordained Reader Michael Zachariades to the Subdiaconate.
