On Bright Saturday, April 22, 2023, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon presided at the celebration of Matins and the hierarchical Divine Liturgy at Saint Matthew Church in Columbia, MD. This was a diocesan-wide celebration of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, with the concelebration of Archpriest John Vitko, Chancellor, and many other clergy Archdiocese of Washington. The Archdiocesan Choir sang the responses under the leadership of Mrs. Juliana Woodill and the participation of about thirty singers from the Archdiocese and other jurisdictions. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude presented Archpriest Constantine White, rector of Saint Matthew’s, with an Archdiocesan Gramota in recognition of his leadership at Saint Matthew Orthodox Church.
