On Thursday evening, April 13, 2006, the Sacrament of Holy Unction was celebrated at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral, New York, NY.
Concelebrating with Igumen Christopher, cathedral dean, were a number of guests from Romania, including Archimandrite Ioan Cassian Tunaru, Bishop-elect of the Romanian Archdiocese, and Archimandrite Clement, exarch of the monasteries of the Moldovan region of Romania. Also concelebrating were the Very Rev. Mircea Schirtea, Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA; the Very Rev. Michael Dudas [OCA] of SS. Cosmas and Damian Adult Home, Staten Island, NY; and the Hierodeacon Cosmas, St. Dumitru Monastery, Middleton, NY. Among the cathedral clergy serving were the Rev. Ioan Radu; Archdeacon Michael Suvak and Deacon Patrick Baumgarth.
