On Sunday, March 10, 2013, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon presided at the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at New York City’s Saint Nicholas Cathedral. Concelebrating with him was His Eminence, Archbishop Justinian of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Justinian presented Metropolitan Tikhon with an icon of the Vladimir Mother of God—the gift of His Holiness, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow. In turn, Metropolitan Tikhon presented relics of Saint Herman of Alaska to the cathedral community. After greetings were exchanged, a festive meal was held.
Also serving at the Divine Liturgy were Archpriest John Jillions, Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America; Archpriest Eric G. Tosi, OCA Secretary; and Protodeacon Joseph Matusiak.
