During the first week of October 2006, hierarchs belonging to the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas met in Chicago, IL. His Eminence, Archbishop Demetrios of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, SCOBA chairman, led the hierarchs in opening prayers.
