Live Online Discussions Highlight Support for Parish Ministries
Preparations for Stewards of the OCA Sunday begin on Monday, November 2 at 12:00 pm ET with the first of several live interactive online discussions highlighting the ongoing work of the Departments of the Orthodox Church in America.
The first live discussion entitled “Supporting and Expanding Ministries in the Parish” with Archpriest Alexander Rentel, Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America, will highlight the need for robust resources to support the ongoing life of parishes in the Orthodox Church in America. The discussion will begin at 12:00 pm ET and can be viewed on the OCA’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Questions and comments can be submitted in the comments section of each page during the live broadcast.
The discussions will continue with His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon discussing his vision outlined in his document outlining the Four Pillars of Apostolic Work in the parishes of the OCA, Dr Edith Humphrey who will discuss a new adult catechism program which is being written and will be released in early 2021, and other discussions will take place on the theme of evangelization in parish life. These live discussions highlight the ongoing work and new projects of the Departments of the Orthodox Church in America which support parishes in their ministries.
